The precautions for using the fuel transfer pump of a
diesel generator set mainly include the following aspects:
1. Inspection and preparation before installation: Before installing the fuel pump, it is necessary to check whether the model and specifications are correct, remove the rust proof oil, and select a suitable thickness of gasket. When tightening the bolts, the torque should be uniform to avoid damaging the oil pump.
2. Daily inspection and maintenance:
Filter and sealing device: The coarse filter core in the oil pump joint is prone to clogging and needs to be checked and cleaned regularly. If damaged, it should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner. Do not dismantle the rubber sealing device between the hand oil pump piston and the hand oil pump body at will, and replace it promptly if it is damaged.
Oil level: Check the oil level in the governor daily and add enough oil promptly if it is insufficient. If there is a skeleton oil seal between the fuel injection pump and the governor, oil should be added separately. If the oil level rises due to oil dilution, it indicates serious oil leakage from the fuel injection pump plunger and fuel transfer pump, which should be promptly eliminated.
3. Adjustment of fuel supply advance angle: The accurate fuel supply advance angle must be checked and calibrated according to the usage specification data. After the diesel engine has been running for 500 hours, the fuel supply advance angle should be rechecked and adjusted.
4. Management of fuel and engine oil: National standard light diesel must be used, and the diesel tank and filter must be regularly cleaned according to the instructions. After running for a certain hour, replace the oil in the high-pressure oil pump and governor as required, and clean the oil transfer pump filter screen.
5. Long term non use handling: When the locomotive is not used for a long time, the fuel injection pump oil passage should be filled with diesel.
